Plantar Fasciitis

This causes pain underneath the foot around the heel and, or, the arch. The pain is caused by inflammation of the large band of fibrous tissue running from the heel to the toes under the foot (plantar fascia).

It can be treated successfully with the use of orthotics, specific exercises, and if necessary, the use of pain killers and ice.

Corticosteroid injections may be used in some cases.
